The Russian Orthodox Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Our Lord is located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York, on the southeast corner of the intersection of Driggs Ave and North 12th St.

From the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (Rt 278) north or east bound

Exit at Metropolitan Ave and proceed along service road two lights to Union Ave. Turn left onto Union Ave and continue to North 12th St. Turn left onto North 12th St and go one block. The Cathedral is on the left.

From the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (Rt 278) south or west bound

Exit at Metropolitan Ave and go across Union Ave at foot of ramp. Turn right on North 8th St, and go two blocks to Roebling St. Turn right on Roebling St and continue to Union Ave. Turn left on Union Ave and then a quick left onto North 12th St. Go one block, and the Cathedral is on the left.

From Long Island

Take the Long Island Expressway (Rt 495) west to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (Rt 278) west/south. Exit at Metropolitan Ave and go across Union Ave at foot of ramp. Turn right on North 8th St, and go two blocks to Roebling St. Turn right on Roebling St and continue to Union Ave. Turn left on Union Ave and then a quick left onto North 12th St. Go one block, and the Cathedral is on the left.

By Subway

We are five blocks from the Bedford Ave Station (at N7th St) on the L Train (14th St-Canarsie Line). Walk 4 blocks north on Bedford Ave and one block east to Driggs Ave.

We are a stroll through McCarren Park from the Nassau Ave Station (at Manhattan Ave) of the G Line. Walk south one block on Nassau Ave then diagonally southeast through the park. You can’t miss seeing the Cathedral standing on the other side of the park.

By Bus

The B62 bus operates between Jackson Ave and Downtown Brooklyn. If coming northbound, get off at Bedford Ave and North 12th St, and walk 1 block east. If coming southbound, get off at Driggs Ave and North 12 St, and cross street to the Cathedral.
