Centennial Celebration of the Orthodox Cathedral of the Transfiguration of Our Lord

Brooklyn, New York

Saturday, September 13th at 9am – Hierarchal Divine Liturgy and General Panihida

         – Afterwards there will be lunch in the Church Hall

Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by a guest from the old country, Archbishop Abel of Lublin and Chelm. This is the area from which the founders of our parish had their origins.

This service will be in memory of all our ancestors, founders, builders, donors, over the past 100 years. We will also remember all our past priests, choirmasters and members, and devoted parishioners who have used their talents and hard work to build this parish. There will be thousands of names of members and friends that we will pray for.

Dear Parishioners and Friends, you can send the names of your departed loved ones if you would like us to pray for them on this historical day.

Saturday, September 13th at 6pm – Vigil and General Panihida

The evening General Panihida will be served especially for those who were unable to make the morning service.

Sunday, September 14th at 9am – Hierarchal Divine Liturgy and Molebien

Divine Liturgy will be celebrated by our Primate, Metropolitan Herman with the assistance of Archbishop Abel and many clergy.

During the Divine Liturgy and Molebien will be praying for the success of our country, city, our parish, and all our living parishioners and friends who remember us and support us, both now and in the future.
